Welcome Back to another Did You Know...? post! We have a new treat called Veggie Bonez! So, the next few posts will be centered around the ingredients: Spirulina, Purple Sweet Potato, Beet Root, and excluding Pumpkin and Sweet Potato because we have a previous post that explain their benefits. Today's Did You Know...? post is about Spirulina. And trust us, we know what you're thinking! What the heck is that?! Spirulina is a microscopic algae that is found in alkaline and saline enriched waters. It contains high concentrations of nutrients not found in most foods, plants, grains, or herbs. It contains a very high concentration of beta carotene, vitamins B-1,2 and 3, iron and trace minerals and the rare essential fatty acid GLA (gamma-linolenic acid). Animal-based research suggest that Spirulina may help to: * Strengthen the immune system * Improve gastrointestinal health * Aid in detoxification * Reduce the rate of cancer * Help allergies 1. Strengthen Immune System: Small amounts of Spirulina can help balance and stabilize the immune system. Medical scientists discovered it not only stimulates the immune system, it actually enhances the body’s ability to generate new blood cells. 2. Improve Gastro Health: Research confirms spirulina promotes digestion and bowel function. It suppresses bad bacteria like e-coli and Candida yeast, which helps protect against infection. 3. Detoxification: Spirulina has a completely unique combination of phytonutrients – including chlorophyll, phycocyanin and polysaccharides, that can help detoxify the body. 4. Reduce Cancer Rate: Spirulina has been shown to have anticancer activity in animal studies. Spirulina stimulates natural killer cells and similar anti-immune components of the immune system that can help fight cancer cells. 5. Help With Allergies: Allergic reactions are partially brought about by inappropriate responses by the immune system, but with the high nutritional value of Spirulina, it can help combat those responses. Giving it to Your Dog: It’s recommended to give your dog Spirulina as part of their daily supplementation and with Veggie Bonez, they can start getting a small amount of it in a tasty treat!

We’re going back to Doggos! This Thursday, October 27th we’ll be headed back to Doggos Park and Pub to bring you all pawesome and delicious treats! So, if you need more or you didn’t get some last Thursday, make sure to come visit us! Bringing doggies is optional, but HIGHLY encouraged! ☺️🐶❤️

There’s still time to order your Halloween Treat Boxes in time for Halloween! Our boxes are for the pups and the kitties. They all come with one bag of treats, one toy, one bandana (dog) or collar (cat) and a special scratch off that reveals a coupon code to use on our website!
